Raúl Contreras

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Raúl Contreras is currently working on Broadway as a Dance Captain, Swing and U/S Santiago in Moulin Rouge The Musical! He is a former company member of Ballet Hispánico, Ballet Metropolitano de Monterrey, Cuerpo Etéreo and Metamorphosis Dance Collective. He has danced pieces from renowned choreographers such as Anabelle Lopez Ochoa, Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, Iratxe Ansa, Edgar Zendejas, and Tania Perez Salas, among others. A graduate of the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey with a BFA in Contemporary Dance, he has trained with Comunidad de Danza Urbana and Martha Graham School as well as multiple workshops around the globe.
