Jess Warfield is a distinguished choreographer, teacher, artistic director, and studio owner based out of Los Angeles. Her unique style is a result of her extensive and versatile bi-coastal training at several studios in Pennsylvania, New York, and Los Angeles throughout her 25-year dance career.
As a choreographer and teacher, Jess is consistently asked to do master classes and set choreography for studios, dance teams, universities, and professional companies across the country. She has choreographed music videos, industrials, set tour choreography, and her work has won countless choreography awards at the regional, national, and international levels.
Jess has taught for professional studios around the world including Broadway Dance Center (NYC), EDGE Performing Arts Center (Los Angeles), The Rock School (Philadelphia), Millennium Dance Complex (Los Angeles), Boogiezone (Los Angeles), and Pineapple Dance Studios (London) and was a guest faculty member for Tremaine Dance Conventions, The Pulse On Tour, and The Pulse On Tour Teacher Workshop. She has worked with CollectiveUth, Operation: Unite, Dancers Responding to AIDS, and was the choreographer for the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks Dance Team.
Jess is known for training some of the top working dancers, actors, recording artists, and models in the industry who have gone on to be featured in numerous television shows and films such as Hit The Floor (VH1), The Little Rascals (2014), Gotham (FOX), So You Think You Can Dance (FOX), as well as numerous indie films, television pilots, and professional ballet companies (New York City Ballet). More recently, Jess was featured on the Ovation Network’s new show Young Marvels as a choreographer and coach and was asked to create, direct, and choreograph her own silhouette-based dance company for a new competition show scheduled to premiere on a major television network this coming fall.
In 2008, Jess received her Bachelor’s Degree from New York University in Art History and Psychology, which has given her choreography a distinctive and captivating complexity. Jess is a very versatile dancer, performer, teacher, and choreographer and her classes integrate a strong technical base coupled with intricate musicality and intense passion for movement and storytelling.
