Teacher Bio

Justus Whitfield is from Las Vegas, Nevada where he trained in ballet, modern, and jazz at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. He performed with Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater in 2014 under the direction of Bernard Gaddis. Justus graduated with a BA in dance from Point Park University in 2016 where he performed works by various artists including George Balanchine, Troy Powell, and Garfield Lemonius. Justus is honored to be in his first season with Parsons Dance.

Take class with current company member of Parsons dance! Students will gain insight into Parsons’ athletic style and technique. The class will consist of a warm-up in the style of Parsons Dance and combinations drawn from Parsons' repertory and vocabulary. Be prepared for an hour and a half of rigorous, invigorating energy that challenges and motivates one to meet his/her technical and artistic goals.
