Shaun T is a native of New Jersey currently residing in Los Angeles, CA and NY, NY. Shaun began training for his love of dance at Rowan University, where he received his BS in Sports Science and a minor in Theater/Dance.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Shaun has danced in theater and television, and has worked with various artists. Some of his credits include the original cast, as well as the workshop crew starring Val Kilmer, of the musical version of The Ten Commandments; Pippin; and Applause. Shaun has appeared on TV shows such as HBO's Six Feet Under, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the cable channel BBC America, and the movie Beauty Shop starring Queen Latifah.
He has danced with artists such as Mariah Carey, Aaron and Nick Carter, and Elephant Man. Shaun has worked with many companies, including Nike, Radio Shack, the Los Angeles Lakers, Marc Jacobs, and Boost athletic shoes.
Shaun's choreography started almost as soon as he started dancing, choreographing events such as the NCAA Final 4 halftime show, Aaron and Nick Carter's Twister Moves tour (Wal-Mart), and the Garden State Dance Festival. Shaun worked with Tony Gonzalez choreographing the movie Bring It On: All or Nothing. He has also choreographed many industrials and has collaborated with Kathy Smith in her Project: YOU? workout, where he incorporated his love of dance and his studies of fitness in the creation of those workouts.
In February 2007, Shaun created Hip-Hop Abs®, a workout program specifically designed to target your abs. Hip-Hop Abs quickly became America's #1 fitness program on TV. Due to popular demand, he's just created the all-new Shaun T's Dance Party Series workouts and Hip-Hop Abs In Spanish, as well as Hip-Hop Abs Extreme. Continuing on the heels of that success, Shaun created a brand-new fitness program called Rockin' Body.
Shaun can be found presenting at many fitness conventions around the world and teaching at fitness and dance centers around Los Angeles. He is currently in New York producing a brand new sports conditioning program slated to hit the scene in spring 2008.
